Monday Video Roundup: Amazing Commercials Edition

Some commercials tell a heck of a story in two minutes, something that even a lot of two hour movies fail to do. For today’s video roundup, let’s take a look at some of the fresh, brilliant and amazing commercials that really strike a chord.

Shoulder of Giants: NIssan Titan

A class act. Instead of simply taking potshots at their rivals, the marketing geniuses at Nissan went the other way. I hope other companies study this one well enough to understand how you acknowledge your rivals, and even one up them.

Farmer: Ram Trucks

Pretty amazing and relevant not only in the states, but all over the world.

Unstoppable: Gerber Gear

With the freaking great background track (Ain’t No Grave Gonna Hold My Body Down – Charlie Parr), and raw shades, this commercial was seriously alpha.

Veteran Dogs: The Royal Dutch Guide Dog Foundation (KNGF)

This commercial won the Dutch Commercial Award 2014, and deservedly so. Short, simple and impactful.

Giving is the best communication: Truemove H

Okay, this one is a bit cliched and old, but I couldn’t stop myself including this.

Fuelled by love: British Airways

Slightly long, but nevertheless great.

Thank you: Blood Donation Campaign, India

This is how you do a commercial. Indian creatives get a lot of flak for thinking up unoriginal, hilariously bad ideas for advertisements but this really hits the right note.
